WHY CHOOSE SSC.
SSC exists because we've seen what happens when a pattern breaks.
Not gradually.
Not after six months of coaching and reflection.
In a single session.
The fog clears, the pressure lifts, and the next step becomes obvious.
Once you've seen that happen — for an individual or a leadership team — you can't unsee it. And you can't go back to selling 12-month arcs.
founder story
Ben Wickham founded SSC after years of watching the same cycle repeat. Talented leaders. Strong strategies. Expensive programmes. And the same patterns resurfacing the moment pressure returned. The surface was being polished while the root stayed untouched.
Before SSC, Ben spent twenty-five years as a creative director — writing purpose stories, brand narratives, and change campaigns for some of the world's largest organisations. The stories were good. They just weren't lived. The organisations were already running a different story — older, stronger, unwritten. Nobody had put it on paper but everyone was acting it out. A better narrative couldn't touch it.
SSC was built to disrupt what the story couldn't reach.
The patterns SSC disrupts in leaders are patterns Ben has lived — from anxiety to groundedness, from fear to clarity, from businesses that failed to businesses that worked. The shift isn't theoretical. It's something he's experienced, and something he's watched happen for others in the time it takes to have a meeting.
Real behaviour change doesn't require months. It requires getting underneath the pattern the story never reached.
how we work
We sit alongside what you already run. Your diagnostics, your development programmes, your coaches — we don't replace any of it.
We complete it.
By going where everything else stops: the belief beneath the behaviour.
One session per leader. Online. No days out of the office. No ongoing dependency. We intervene, we shift it, and we step out of the way.
Every breakthrough stands on others before it.
Single Session Coaching is built on decades of thinking by people who looked more carefully at how humans change — and why.
Moshe Talmon, Bert Hellinger, Jan Jacob Stam, Caroline Ward, Antonio Damasio, Lisa Feldman Barrett, and many others whose work quietly shaped what's possible here.
We stand on their shoulders.
"In just one session, I was able to strip that back, disconnect from something that was never really mine, and reconnect with what truly matters. It gave me the clarity and confidence to lead from a place that feels grounded, authentic, and unmistakably me."
